COLLECTION DAY: Stourport-on-Severn Library

Stourport Library is inviting people to take in their First World War artefacts so they can be digitalised for future generations.

The Lest We Forget Digital Collection Day is being held in conjunction with the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and Oxford University during Armistice Weekend on Saturday, November 10 from 10am to 3pm.

The event will be an opportunity for members of the public to take their First World War objects along to the library, share the stories behind them and create a digital record of them.

The library is also looking for volunteers of all ages to help run the event.

The project aims to preserve memories of the Great War for future generations through the mass digitalisation of war stories and memorabilia.
