William Joseph Duhig, 1898-1990

Duhig enlisted in November 1916 as a Steward with the Royal Navy. He initially served on HMS Victory1, then HMS Woolwich and HMS Lytton. He was discharged in February 1919 whilst serving on the HMS Ortesam. He served at Gallipoli on a hospital ship and told of carrying the nurses through the mud from the ship to the hospital.
