Frank Ford Feltham, 1889-1958

As part of the 20th Hussars, Feltham took part in actions at Messines, Armentieres, Gheluvelt, Neuve Chappelle, St Julien, Bellewaarde Ridge, The Scarpe, Bourlon Wood, St Quentin, Hazebrouck, Amiens, Albert, Bapaume and the Hindenberg Line. His character reference on discharge read: “Hardworking, sober, trustworthy and reliable. An excellent farrier with considerable experience, has acted as a Farrier Sergeant in charge of around 100 horses during the last five years, and has given every satisfaction".

D. Carter dedicates this plaque to him:

Frank was the husband of Edith Sawkins (1892 - 1973). He was the beloved father of Peggy (1923 – 2003) and Sheila (1935 – 2017). He is the grandfather or Peter (b.1958) and David (b.1980). He was the lifelong friend of Arthur Carter (who he met when serving as an occupying force in Constantinople).
